League of Legends Ezreal is finally getting a gameplay update. One of the Rift's oldest champions, Ez has had a near constant presence on the game's competitive scene. Being one of the few marksman champions to use mana as their main resource for damage, Ez has carved out a unique niche for himself. Though he can be harder for newer players to master, there's nothing more dangerous than a fed Ezreal with decent aim.
This gameplay update for the blonde-haired explorer updates his kit for 2018. The brief video Riot Games released shows off his abilities and new particle effects. It looks like most of his powers are the same, with Mystic Shot and his ultimate True Shot Barrage staying fairly close to their original designs.

The only ability that seems to be getting a major update is Ezreal's W, Essence Flux. Now it's an auto-targeting ball that leaves a mark on an enemy, dealing extra damage when proceed by another Ez ability. Basically, it's a way for him to deal even more damage with good aim.
Ezreal has been in need of an update for a while. When Tear of the Goddess is a good item, he's a top-tier, must-ban champion in pro play. When the item is nerfed to the ground and isn't worth buying, Ezreal is nowhere to be seen. Hopefully, this update balances out some of his most broken aspects, making him feel less aggravating to play against.
Ezreal Mystic Shots are the bane of any low-Silver ADC. The rework will only make more bad players think they can aim.
