Newsweek's workforce has doubled under Leiann's leadership; her team is responsible for recruiting talent around the world and currently oversees team members across the USA, EMEA, Asia, and Latin America. Kaytmaz works to establish and implement short and long-term strategic plans, operating procedures, and policies that enables all staff to contribute to the company at their full potential while advocating for a culture of respect, trust, and continuous improvement.
Kaytmaz joined Newsweek in 2016 from the 9.8 Group, a strategic holding company with portfolios in advertising, media, and marketing, where she served as HR Director for 10 years. Previously, Kaytmaz was Director of Recruiting for Edison Schools, an educational management company, and National Director of Recruiting for C2 Media. Kaytmaz has also held HR Manager positions at companies including Barnes & Noble and Zagat and Corcoran Group Real Estate. Her HR career began in executive search. Kaytmaz is a graduate of Stony Brook University.
