Logan Paul's dog, Kong, has passed away after being attacked by a feral coyote in Los Angeles. According to Paul's Instagram story and security camera footage, a pair of wild coyotes appeared in Paul's front yard causing Kong to start barking. The coyotes jumped the fence to the house and that was the last time Kong was seen alive.
"Despite his savagery, he didn't stand a chance," Paul wrote in an Instagram post to his fan base. Kong was an influencer in his own right, amassing nearly three million Instagram followers since Paul purchased the dog from a fan in May 2017. The KongDaSavage account is still up, with a memorial image of the puppy influencer.
After Kong's passing, Paul released a YouTube video talking about his feelings on the situation. In under a day, the 12-minute video has amassed nearly four million views and brought together those outside of the "Maverick" fandom. Comments ranging from the heartfelt to the angry have been posted to the video. "I was hoping this was an April Fool's Day joke" wrote one user. "I'm not actually a fan, but this video changed my thoughts about you," wrote another.
Members of the YouTube community have come together to show their support for Paul and Kong. KSI, who Paul has had an ongoing feud with for the past year, tweeted his condolences after what happened.

2018 was a tough year for Logan Paul. He became the target for YouTube prank channels after foollishly posting a video showing a dead body hanging in the Japanese Suicide Forest. He then spent the next few months away from the platform, dedicating himself to training for a boxing match with KSI. After that, he started the Impaulsive podcast, bringing on top-tier influencers and members of the YouTube space to discuss whatever popped into their heads. Most recently, Paul released a mockumentary looking at the "flat earth" community and the questionable ideals they hold.
