Lonzo Ball Shoes BBB Zo2 Revealed: Price, Look, Where, When to Buy

Los Angeles Lakers guard Lonzo Ball revealed his second Big Baller Brand signature shoe on Wednesday.

In an exclusive feature by SLAM magazine, Ball showcases his new "ZO2.19 shoes" in a video paying homage to Michael Jordan and Spike Lee's 1989 "It's Gotta Be the Shoes" Air Jordan campaign.

The shoe's reveal comes 13 months after the ZO2 Remix, which was his first signature shoe on the Big Baller Brand.

The latter made headlines for its $495 price. However, Ball's latest shoe will be signficantly more affordable at $200 per pair.

The ZO2.19s will also feature a new combination of materials including a forefoot strap made of full grain nappa leather, which BBB claims will provide "incredible support in the most aggressive cuts and directional changes."

Additionally, the shoe will have a new spacer mesh that intends to be "strong enough to never blow out," as well as a midsole that promises "40 percent more rebound than standard EVA foam," according to SLAM magazine.

Select pairs of the Z02.19s will have "suede throughout different parts of the shoe, including on the toe tip," according to SLAM magazine. Ball plans to wear the new shoes during his second NBA season.

Big Baller Brand is a clothing company started by Ball's father, the notoriously brash and outspoken LaVar Ball. The brand currently has signature shoes for the Lakers guard, as well as his younger brothers LaMelo and LiAngelo Ball, both of whom played overseas in Lithuania and the Junior Basketball Association -- a league created by LaVar Ball -- this past year.

Ball spent one season at UCLA before being selected No. 2 overall by the Lakers in the 2017 NBA Draft.

The Southern California native averaged 10.2 points, 7.2 assists, 6.9 rebounds and 1.7 steals during his first NBA season.

However, he will need to compete with former All-Star Rajon Rondo for the starting point guard role on a revamped Lakers team, which also features former NBA MVP LeBron James and several other new additions, in 2018-19.
