3 People Shot at Beverly Hills Mansion Party Attended by Dozens

One person has died after at least three people were shot at a party in Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to an incident on the 13200 block of Mulholland Drive following reports of a large gathering at an address there.

The LAFD said three adult victims were located at the scene, treated, and transported to local hospitals. Two of them are in critical condition, with one patient later dying. The victims include a man in his 30s and a woman in her 40s, according to CBS.

A fourth person was located nearby with a non-firearm-related injury to his wrist, believed to have been sustained while fleeing the scene.

Police were called earlier in the evening to reports of a large gathering. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a large party taking place at the three-story home with about 200 people attending.

Officers told local news they could not break up the party in the gated community as they weren't breaking any laws. The officers also did not have a warrant to enter the premises.

One man uploaded a video of himself at the party to social media.

"Big Hollywood Hills mansion party off Mulholland Drive shots fired people shot a lot of big Ballers were gambling lost a lot of money were p****d then a bunch of gangsters came in and robbed everybody and started shooting everybody," Gabriel Pacheco wrote on Instagram.

"A lot of people with money and guns and gangsters got crazy I ran for my life it was crazy."

According to CBS, the large party was thrown for an NFL player at a mansion which was being being rented out. Newsweek has been unable to verify this information.

A listing on VRBO shows the 10-bedroom property can be rented out for more than $10,000 a night.

"We have money," Kennie D. Leggett, security manager for the party, told CBS. "We are people. This COVID, I mean, is just pushing us out everywhere, and we have nothing, so the only thing we do have is [houses] to rent swimming pools for our kids, to do big things and things of that nature."
