Mega Millions Numbers for 11/12/21: Did Anyone Win the $53 Million?

The winning Mega Millions numbers for Friday were 30, 32, 42, 46, and 48, and the Mega Ball number was 15 while the Megaplier was 2X, according to the Mega Millions website.

There was a top prize of $53 million with a cash option of $37.9 million on offer. There were no winners of the top prize as no ticket matched all five numbers and the Mega Ball.

However, there was one big winner, with a ticket sold in California matching the five white balls to win $1 million. Had they purchased the Megaplier for an extra $1, they would have doubled their money and earned a $2 million prize.

There were also 9 tickets matching four white balls plus the Mega Ball to take the $10,000 prize. Two of those tickets used the Megaplier option.

There were 209 tickets that matched four white balls to win $500, 45 of whom doubled their winnings with the Megaplier.

Meanwhile, there were 575 tickets that matched three white balls and the Mega Ball to take $200, 135 of whom doubled their money with the Megaplier.

In total, the November 12 drawing produced over 382,000 winning tickets of at least $2.

The jackpot now grows to $63 million for Tuesday's drawing with a cash option of $45 million.

Although there was no winner this time of the top prize, there have now been some big Mega Millions winners in 2021.

So far, six jackpots have been won this year which started with a bang after a $1.05 billion prize on January 22 went to a group of Michigan players.

Last month, three family members from Lake Havasu City in Arizona won $75.2 million before taxes for their winning ticket.

They chose the cash lump sum option for the $108 million winning ticket bought at the Desert Martini bar, which earned a $50,000 sales incentive for selling the winning ticket.

How to play

Mega Millions drawings take place Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 p.m. ET.

Five white balls are drawn from balls numbered 1 through 70 while one yellow Mega Ball is taken from a set of balls numbered from 1 to 25.

Mega Millions tickets cost $2 per play but for an extra dollar in most states, players can take a Megaplier option, which increases non-jackpot prizes by two, three, four or five times.

If no one wins the jackpot prize, the money is added to the top prize for the following drawing. When the jackpot is won, the prize money is set back to $20 million.

Tickets are available in 45 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. However, they can not be bought in Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah.
