Mega Millions Numbers for 11/19/21: Did Anyone Win the $74 Million?

The winning Mega Millions numbers for Friday were 5, 23, 52, 53, and 59, and the Mega Ball number was 18 while the Megaplier was 5X, according to the Mega Millions website.

There was a top prize of $74 million with a cash option of $52.9 million on offer. There were no winners of the top prize as no ticket matched all five numbers and the Mega Ball.

There were also no winners of the $1 million prize as no tickets matched the five white balls. The biggest winners on the night took home $50,000. That was because two tickets that matched four white balls and Mega Ball played the Megaplier to quintuple their $10,000 prize. Six other tickets won the lower amount.

There were 208 tickets that matched four white balls to win $500, 46 of which increased their winnings with the Megaplier to $2,500.

Meanwhile, there were 547 tickets that matched three white balls and the Mega Ball to win $200, 119 of whom played the Megaplier.

In total, the November 19 drawing produced over 365,000 winning tickets of at least $2.

The jackpot now grows to $83 million for Tuesday's drawing with a cash option of $59.3 million. Although there was no winner of the top prize this time, a number of jackpots have been won this year.

It all started with a bang after a $1.05 billion prize on January 22 was won by a group of Michigan players.

In October, three family members from Lake Havasu City in Arizona won $75.2 million before taxes for their winning ticket.

The trio, who decided to remain anonymous, picked the cash lump sum option for the $108 million winning ticket. The Desert Martini bar where they bought the ticket managed to earn a $50,000 sales incentive for its troubles.

How to play

Mega Millions drawings take place every Tuesday and Fridays at 11 p.m. ET.
Five white balls are taken from balls numbered 1 through 70 while one yellow Mega Ball is drawn from a set of balls numbered from 1 to 25.

Mega Millions tickets cost $2 per play but for an extra dollar in most states, players can take the Megaplier option, which can increase non-jackpot prizes by up to five times.

If there is no winner of the jackpot, the money is added to the top prize for the following drawing. After the jackpot is won, the top prize is set back to $20 million.

Tickets are available in 45 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. However, they can not be bought in Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah.
