'Love Island' Release Schedule: When Season 3 of the U.S. Version Airs and How to Watch

Love Island Season 3 is coming out this July on CBS for all viewers who need a reality TV hit in between binging all of Too Hot to Handle and waiting for the British Love Island to come to Hulu. The new season of the U.S. dating show kicks off with 12 singletons entering Casa Amor, and viewers will be able to watch the whole show (including moments too hot for TV) online this summer.

When Do Episodes of 'Love Island' Air?

Love Island U.S.' 2021 season kicks off on Wednesday, July 7, when the premiere will air on CBS at 9:30 p.m. ET / 8:30 p.m. CT. This is the second part of a big reality TV night for CBS, who are also launching Big Brother 23 the same evening.

That first episode of Love Island will be an extended 90-minute special, which will introduce the first 12 contestants and most likely offer up a new set of twists.

After its Wednesday premiere, Love Island will air hour-long episodes on Thursday and Friday at 9 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. CT, with a two-hour episode closing the week on Sunday in the same time slot. After that first week, episodes will air Tuesdays through Fridays and Sundays, all at 9 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. CT.

In terms of what to expect with Season 3, the official synopsis from CBS reads: "Host Arielle Vandenberg and narrator Matthew Hoffman return with even more love and romance this summer as the show escapes the desert and heads back to the beach. Islanders will couple up on the sundrenched Hawaiian Island where they will be ready for more texts, fireside ceremonies, challenges and friendships.

"It is not all sun and rainbows, though, when the ultimate temptation, Casa Amor, returns. And, as always viewers can vote on the Love Island app all season long, having input on who goes on dates, who's at risk from being dumped from the Island and who are fan favorites. Ultimately, one couple will triumph and be crowned the winners of Love Island."

How to Watch 'Love Island' Online

Viewers can catch up with the season in two ways: for free on the CBS website and app, or by subscribing to Paramount+.

Subscribers to Paramount+ (the new name for CBS All Access) also get exclusive Love Island content available nowhere else. Per CBS, the streamer will get 15 hours of exclusive content, including what they call "unfiltered glimpses into the villa and fiery episodes featuring content too hot for broadcast."

Both CBS and Paramount+ also offer a live-stream, allowing viewers to watch as it airs online.

Love Island U.K. is also available to stream, but on a different service. From July 12, episodes will be available daily on Hulu, a few weeks after they air on ITV2 in the United Kingdom.
