Machete-Wielding Man 'Chasing Jews' Taken into Custody in Video
A video shows officers in New York City take a man into custody who was allegedly armed with a machete-style weapon.
The unidentified man was carrying a long knife and "chasing Jews" in the Borough Park neighborhood in Brooklyn late Monday night, Belaaz News reported.
The incident happened at around 11:55 p.m. near New Utrecht Ave and 47th Street, according to the outlet.
Belaaz News later tweeted a video showing several police officers detaining the man in the street. He is heard yelling as several officers later carry the man and transport him down the street

"This individual was either on his property or on family's property," the spokesman said.
"It looks like possibly that he was being harassed" by children in the area, the spokesman added. "So we don't have anything as far as him chasing anybody. Nobody has come forward, stating that he threatened them or harassed them or he made any mention that he was going to harm them."
The spokesman said the man was "highly intoxicated" and was taken to Maimonides Medical Center for an evaluation.
