A family in Raliegh, North Carolina, had quite the hilarious encounter after the dad mistakenly got a two-for-one deal during a trip to the vet.
While taking the family cat, Lily to the veterinarian's office, he heard a commotion coming from her crate. He didn't think anything of it until he got to the vet, a less than 15-minute drive from the house. When he arrived and investigated, he realized his son's cat, Sampson, was also in the crate, squished up in the back.
He filmed the incident and sent it to the family group chat, daughter Mary Brennan Page told Newsweek. She then shared the hysterical story to her TikTok account, @mbpage, on October 20, which brought in over 49,000 likes and 164 comments.

There was a little bit of resistance when he tried putting Lily in the crate. This is because she typically is out of the crate while traveling and trips to the beach. Plus, her brother did not even notice Sampson was missing since he just returned from work.
...
"After I initially laughed, I asked, 'Did it not feel heavier?'" said Page. "He thought Lily just gained a few pounds."
He rolled with it and brought both cats into the office. Not only did the whole family get a laugh out of the mix-up, but so did the doctor. It ended up working out as a two-for-one deal because Sampson got a shot while he was there, too.
On the way home, Page's dad held Lily and let her have some freedom while Sampson had the crate to himself. The crate is only meant for one cat, which is why Page was surprised there wasn't more resistance initially.
TikTok viewers were left in stitches by Page's video of the catastrophe.
"She's relaxed while brother is standing pushed against the wall- seems like Queen cat vibes are just not at our house," wrote one TikTok user in the comments.
Other viewers joked that Sampson was offering emotional support, though Page said his presence might have had the opposite effect.
She explained that the two cats are not the best of friends as Sampson is much younger than 8-year-old Lily. Plus, Sampson lives with Page's brother at college in a house of all boys and is filled with energy.
Needless to say, their relationship did not bloom after being stuck in close quarters. It is business as usual, Page said, and now Sampson is happily back at college with her brother. As for Lily? She's tired of the family bringing more cats into the house.
