Man Pulls Out Knife in Argument Over 'The Wizard of Oz'

A viral video that appears to show a man pulling out a knife during an argument over the Wizard of Oz has resurfaced.

The clip, which apparently involves friends sitting in a house and jokingly arguing over the 1939 musical, shows two men engaging in an increasingly heated exchange.

The two men are seen smiling and laughing throughout before one of the two stands up and pulls out a knife, apparently playing up for the camera, holding the blade close to his leg as the second individual is seen walking away.

The video of the argument was first posted on YouTube in 2018, and has since been watched more than 7 million times.

"Hold on, hold on. Her sister was a witch, right?" one of the men is heard saying, while smiling and smirking. "And what was her sister, a princess, the wicked witch of the east, bro."

The person filming can be heard laughing loudly before the second man, who was initially seated, stands up and jokingly says: "I'm going to stab him."

The first man then turns around and says: "You're gonna look at me and you're gonna tell me that I'm wrong? Am I wrong? She wore a crown and she came down in a bubble, Doug. Grow up bro, grow up."

The second man, apparently holding the knife against his leg, replies "I'm not fighting with you," before the video ends.

The video has been reshared on Twitter this week and watched nearly 1 million times.

A comment left on the YouTube clip from three years ago and shared on a Reddit thread said: "CONTEXT: They were playing Headbands and Doug had "Glenda" (the fairy/witch in the pink dress who talked to Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz), and the other guy said "Princess" as a hint. Doug didn't get it and insisted Glenda wasn't a princess. Then the other guy made this rant that is pure gold."

Commenting on the video in April, one person wrote: "If he said another 'HOLD ON' I think his eyes would have popped out of his head. Revisiting this in 2021 because it will literally never get old."

Another said: "Hate to tell him, Glinda was the witch of the north. Witch of the east was under Dorothy's house . He's wrong, but i love watching how emotionally he's invested in this argument lol."

A third wrote: "I love when grown adults argue over literally nothing so passionately they're yelling over each other. It's a crime we don't have the whole argument."
