Transfer News: Two Manchester United Stars Set For Exit, Everton Fights Chelsea For Richarlison

The Premier League season is on the final straight and the summer is in sight, leaving clubs and players considering their transfer options.

Most managers—if still in their job—will be looking to strengthen their team: to buy that striker that will help them break into the so-called "top six" or climb out of the bottom half.

But there's also the players to consider. Some will be thinking this summer offers a chance to go to a bigger club, while others may be considering a move away from their big club to get more first-team football.

And that is where the transfer window starts this Wednesday morning (April 11). Here, Newsweek takes you to the grounds where the news and gossip is swirling. starting with the north west, at Old Trafford.

According to RMC, Anthony Martial has turned down Manchester United's offer of a five-year contract as he looks to leave the club this summer. The 22-year-old French striker has not started a game in the Premier League since February. The Daily Telegraph says Tottenham and Inter Milan would be keen on signing him, coming the day after reports that Marcus Rashford was considering leaving Manchester United in the summer.

United may well look to replace him with Brazilian forward Richarlison. According to Sky Sports, Jose Mourinho's team is in a race to sign the 20-year-old from Watford but face competition from both Chelsea and Everton.

Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has told Newsweek that a Premier League club offered him 100 million euros for Gareth Bale last summer. Calderon says he expects the former Tottenham forward to stay at the Bernabeu, but that he would be remembered fondly even if he left.

Pep Guardiola's claim that Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba was offered to him in January by his agent Mino Raiola has taken a new twist. According to Sports Illustrated, Raiola also offered the 25-year-old Frenchman to Real Madrid.

And finally, the Daily Mirror say Atletico Madrid will offer Antoine Griezmann a new contract worth £300,000-a-week to stop him from leaving the club in the summer. The 27-year-old French forward has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona.
