Who is Marie S'Infiltre? French YouTuber Gatecrashes Chanel Paris Runway Show, Gigi Hadid Intervenes

A prominent French YouTuber stole the show at Paris Fashion Week—crashing Chanel's runway show and strutting down the catwalk with top models, including Gigi Hadid.

Marie S'Infiltre, known for her satirical style of comedy mocking French bourgeoisie, hopped on stage at Chanel's runway show Tuesday morning in her own high fashion and joined the procession of models.

Booth Moore, an executive editor at Women's Wear Daily, caught the moment in a video shared on Twitter:

Moore wrote: "Someone stormed the runway finale and joined the models @CHANEL watch! #pfw"

New York Times fashion director Vanessa Friedman, who was also in attendance, said it was the "best @chanel finale video ever: Spot the catwalk- crasher! And spot the security guys running after her!"

In another clip from the runway show, model Gigi Hadid appears to try and get the interloper off the catwalk.

"Omg a woman literally just CRASHED the Chanel finale and @gigihadid just bounced her off stage, what an iconic moment," said Tyler McCall, editor-in-chief of Fashionista.com.

Elizabeth Paton of the New York Times said "hapless" security guards struggled to identify the impostor in the line-up of models walking the runway, thus S'Infiltre successfully walked with the models until Hadid intervened.

After pulling off the stunt, S'Infiltre reposted various Instagram Stories about the moment on her own account.

S'Infiltre also posted a screenshot of a news story about the stunt on her Instagram page. She captioned it, "Le défilé étam c'était walou à côté," which roughly translates to: "The Etam runway was nothing in comparison."

In the caption, S'Infiltre refers to crashing lingerie brand Etam's Paris Fashion Week show last week.

The comedian shared a video about her Etam escapade on her YouTube channel, which has 227,000 subscribers.

Who is Marie S'Infiltre?

S'Infiltre, real name Marie Benoliel, is 28 and has gained fame in France for her stunts "infiltrating" society events.

S'Infiltre's videos often highlight bigotry, such as a 2017 video in which she attended a campaign rally for right-wing politician Marine Le Pen.

In the video, which amassed four million views in 48 hours on Facebook, S'Infiltre spoke to supporters of the National Front political party, appearing to support their cause. However, at the end of the clip, the comedian can be seen jumping on stage and waving two middle fingers at the nationalist crowd.

In an interview with BuzzFeed, S'Infiltre said, "My approach has never been political, I want to show that all interests have a ridiculous comic potential."
