'Married at First Sight' Star Amber Overreacted to Matt Not Coming Home, Fans Claim

Married at First Sight took a dramatic turn last week when Matt Gwynne never came home. Amber Bowles felt abandoned by her new husband and called her father crying. As Wednesday's new episode approaches, fans are weighing in about the way Amber reacted to Matt's elopement.

While Matt could arguably seem like he was wrong in this situation since he left for the night without telling Amber his whereabouts—Amber's reaction is what got fans talking. At this point in the marriage, they have only known each other or 14 days. Some fans claimed that Amber's reaction was over-the-top and not reasonable for the amount of time they've known each other for.

But not everyone is against Amber. Some people felt bad for the way Matt treated her.

Wednesday's episode titled "How Can I Trust You," is going to focus on faith. The description reads: "The four couples attempt to deepen their connection with trust and intimacy exercises provided by the experts, and Dr. Pepper makes a visit to get to the bottom of why two of the husbands did not spend the night with their wives."

A preview for the episode shows Amber went through Matt's things and discovered he left his wedding ring at home while he absconded for the night. "Matt didn't come home last night. I haven't heard from him all day and I'm really questioning why he came into this process," she says in one teaser.

"This is Matt's wedding ring and it's here so Matt did not wear this last night when he went out."

Last time fans saw Matt and Amber, they butted heads about when to have children, with Matt saying he need five to eight years. "Hold on for a second. Eight years? Are you kidding? "In eight years, I'll be 35," Amber reminded him. "So you almost need to be with someone younger."

Matt then implied he was afraid about having children with the wrong person. "Kids don't scare me. Being tied to and connected to that person that you had a kid with for the rest of your life, that's what scares me," he said. "It's not like you can just say, 'I don't want to deal with you anymore,' and move on. You can't. You have a child together. You are automatically bonded by default to the other human being for the rest of your life."
