'The Masked Singer': Who is the Ladybug? Clues From Wednesday's Season 2 Premiere

Fox's hit reality show The Masked Singer returned Wednesday night and the one question is on everyone's lips: "Who is Ladybug?"

During the Season 2 premiere of Masked Singer, Ladybug impressed the judges and viewers when they took on Rottweiler in the third face-off of the evening, and later laid the smack down on Ice Cream to stay in the competition. (As a result, Ice Cream was kicked out of the competition and was unmasked as video game streamer Tyler "Ninja" Blevins.)

We've put together some of the clues to determine who Ladybug might be, based on the judges' reactions and Twitter speculation.

Who is Ladybug on The Masked Singer?

As you can hear in the clip above, Ladybug appears to have a Southern twang to their voice, as pointed out by judge Nicole Scherzinger, so we could be looking at someone with country roots.

Fellow judges Jenny McCarthy and Robin Thicke said during the performance that they think our singer is young. But as you can hear in the smackdown against Ice Cream, Ladybug has a big voice and isn't afraid to use it. Could we be looking at a seasoned singer?

Ladybug offered up some clues as to their identity, including: "Being born into the limelight means keeping up with every piece of gossip and family feud." Perhaps Ladybug is someone from a famous family?

Ladybug also says: "After a lifetime of drama, I could really use a little love and a lot of luck" and "Now after years of spinning my wheels, the chance to be anonymous makes me feel like I've already won a prize."

The clues suggest someone that has been involved in game shows: Note the KSOR TV camera and studio audience, the spinning wheel game and reference to Family Feud.

So, who is Ladybug?

A common theory shared by Nicole Scherzinger is that Ladybug is Jamie Lynn Spears, the younger sister of Britney Spears.

Jamie Lynn Spears certainly grew up in the limelight and has had her fair share of family drama dominating the headlines. Like her sister, Jamie Lynn is also an accomplished singer and as you can hear here, she even has a bit of a twang to her singing voice.

Another educated guess, via Jason Martinez on Twitter, is one of the Judds—the singing duo Naomi and daughter Wynonna Judd.

The Judds are accomplished country music singers and Wynonna grew up in the spotlight with her mother Naomi. Wynonna also has some previous reality TV experience, including a stint on Dancing With the Stars.

The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays on Fox.
