'Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 and 2' Coming to All Consoles in July

Continuing Mega Man's 30th anniversary celebration, Capcom announced the re-release of all eight Mega Man X games in a tidy collection.

Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 and 2 will bring the classic games to modern consoles on July 24. That's right, the collection will come to PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch on the same day. Fans can purchase Mega Man X Legacy Collection digitally for $19.99, or buy the special retail bundle for $39.99.

Besides the eight Mega Man X games, the special collection will include The Day of Σ, a video originally included with Maverick Hunter X that explores the origins of series antagonist Sigma and the rise of Mavericks, while shedding additional light on the events leading up to Mega Man X.

The collection will also include vintage trailers for every Mega Man X game, a museum of artwork and snapshots of various products from the history of the franchise. Fans of the incredible music will enjoy full soundtrack for all four games, as well as brand-new tracks created just for this collection.

Fans can also play the Mega Man X Legacy Collection through CRT filters or in its original resolution.

The biggest addition to the Mega Man X Legacy Collection is the X Challenge, a brand new game mode that pits you against two bosses at once. You can take three weapons into battle, or go into it with a buster-only run.

Mega Man 11 will also release later this year for all consoles, so the love for the Blue Bomber continues throughout 2018. And if you're a Nintendo Switch owner, the Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 and 2 will release May 22 will catch you up on the main Mega Man series before the new title releases and will keep you busy before the release of the new game.
