Tonight's 10/29/19 jackpot is $105 million, with a cash-value option of $71.4 million. The total jackpot could have increased depending on the number of tickets sold around the country prior to the drawing.
The numbers on Friday (10/25/19) were: 16-24-25-52-60 with a Mega Ball of 06. The Megaplier was 3x.
There was no grand prize winner on Friday, but there was a ticket sold in California that matched the first five white balls for the second-prize of $1 million. Had the $1 Megaplier option been purchased, second prize would have been worth $3 million.
There were 13 tickets that matched four of the five white balls and the Mega Ball for the $10,000 third prize. Four of those purchased the Megaplier for an extra $1 for third-prize winnings of $30,000.
The last Mega Millions grand prize winner was for $227 million on 09/24/19with a ticket purchased in the city of Cedar Park, Texas—a suburb north of Austin. The winner from nearby Leander came forward to claim that prize, but they wished to remain anonymous.
Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery every Tuesday and Friday night, and it is one of America's two biggest lottery jackpot games. The previous Mega Millions winning jackpot ticket was for the 07/23/19 drawing of $168 million. That ticket was sold at Brookside Market & Deli in Exeter, NH. This was New Hampshire's first winning jackpot ticket for Mega Millions. The cash-value option for that ticket was $101.9 million.
The previous jackpot winner before that was for $522 million—the seventh-greatest Mega Millions jackpot ever. It was sold June 7, 2019, in San Diego, California, at Sorrento Deli Mart, which was set to collect a retailer bonus of $1 million for selling the winning ticket. That $1 million is from the California Lottery, and is not subtracted from the winner's grand prize.
Winners in California have 180 days from the date of the drawing to redeem their ticket to claim their winnings.
