When is the next Mega Millions drawing?

Mega Millions lottery drawings are held Tuesday and Friday, so the next drawing will take place on Friday, November 20, 2020, when the jackpot will be an estimated $188 million.

What time does the Mega Millions draw?

The Mega Millions lottery draws at 11 p.m. ET, 10 p.m. CT, 9 p.m. MT, and 8 p.m. PT.

How to play the Mega Millions?

In the Mega Millions draw, five white balls are drawn from a set numbered 1 through 70 and one gold Mega Ball is drawn from a set numbered 1 through 25. Players win if the numbers on one row of your ticket match the numbers of the balls drawn on that date.

There are nine ways to win a prize ranging, from $2 to the jackpot, and if no one wins the jackpot, the money is added to the jackpot for the next drawing.

Yesterday the Mega Millions lottery announced that a Wisconsin man claimed his $120 million— or $95.4 million cash—prize on November 10. Adrian Tongson from Racine won the lottery jackpot on September 15 after purchasing a ticket at Mount Pleasant Kwik Trip's #134, but didn't realize until he checked his ticket weeks later.

Tongson chose the cash option and took home around $65.2 million after federal and state taxes. He quit his job and is making plans for his winnings, and said: "Regardless of how much you spend, it only takes one ticket to win. That's what won it for me."

Additionally, Tongson's win is Wisconsin's first Mega Millions jackpot since Wisconsin debuted the game on January 31, 2010.

However, the state has produced big winners, with 64 Wisconsin players winning $1 million since 2010. Wisconsin Lottery Director Cindy Polzin said in a statement: "I'm simply thrilled for Adrian! As a loyal Lottery player, he certainly is a perfect first Mega Millions jackpot winner for our state. Congratulations go to our retail partner Kwik Trip for selling the lucky ticket!"
