Mega Millions Numbers for 10/29/21: Did Anyone Win the $22 Million?

The winning Mega Millions numbers for Friday were 15, 26, 28, 35, and 45, and the Mega Ball number was 4 while the Megaplier was 3X, according to the Mega Millionswebsite. There was a top prize of $22 million with a cash option of $15.5 million on offer.

There were no winners of the top prize as no ticket matched all five numbers and the Mega Ball.

However, there was one big winner, with one ticket sold in Indiana matching the five white balls to win $1 million.

There were also 12 tickets matching four white balls plus the Mega Ball to take the $10,000 prize. Two of them tripled their winnings because they included the optional Megaplier, a $1 extra purchase available in most states.

There were 238 tickets that matched four white balls to win $500, 50 of which tripled the winnings with the Megaplier. In total, the October 29 drawing produced over 384,000 winning tickets of at least $2.

Meanwhile, three family members from Lake Havasu City in Arizona took home $75.2 million before taxes this week for their winning ticket in the October 22 drawing.

The trio, which consisted of a man, his wife and her brother, wanted to remain anonymous but said that every week they had spent $60 on tickets, according to a press release on the Mega Millions website.

The couple plans to pay off their mortgage, buy a new truck, help their children and perhaps take a cruise. The wife's brother, a U.S. Navy veteran and avid amateur scuba diver has said he would like to take a trip to the Maldives,

How to play

Mega Millions drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. ET. and see five white balls drawn from a set of balls numbered 1 through 70. One yellow Mega Ball is drawn from balls numbered 1 through 25.

Mega Millions tickets cost $2 per play and if no one wins the jackpot prize, the money is added to the top prize for the following drawing.

Most states offer a Megaplier option, which increases non-jackpot prizes by two, three, four or five times.

Before each Mega Millions drawing, the Megaplier is drawn from 15 balls. Five of these balls are marked with 2X, six with 3X, three with 4X and one with 5X.

Players can buy tickets in 45 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. However, lottery tickets are not available in Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah.
