Mega Millions Numbers, Results for 12/21/18: Did Anyone Win the $305 Million Jackpot Friday (Last) Night?

Mega Millions latest jackpot on Friday night was worth $305 million with a cash option of $181.4 million. Those who took a chance and played the game on Friday night awaited to see if their numbers were picked during the 11 p.m. EST drawing. Was there a winner during Friday night's lottery drawing?

The winning numbers announced on Friday night were 10-31-61-62-70, Mega Ball 5, and Megaplier 3X, according to the Mega Millions website. No one was able to win the $305 million jackpot, but there was one winner in Texas who won one million dollars after matching five of the winning numbers, the Mega Millions website stated.

One other person last night won $30,000 after matching four numbers, a Mega Ball and the Megaplier. There were all 17 other players last night who won $10,000 after matching four numbers and a Mega Ball. Click here to see the winners from last night's drawing.

Although no one won the million dollar jackpot, the next drawing on Tuesday will be worth $321 million with a cash option of $193.7 million, according to the Mega Millions website. To check numbers from last night's drawing or previous drawings, click here.

The Mega Millions lottery drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday night at 11 p.m. EST. The popular lottery game is played in 44 states across the U.S., including the District of Columbia and the Virgin Islands. Mega Millions players will choose five numbers from one through 70 and then a sixth number ranging from one through 25, according to the Mega Millions websites. If there is no winner or the prize is not claimed, each state that participated in Mega Millions will get its money back, according to the website.

The last person to claim a Mega Millions prize was a man from New Mexico who won $4 million. Timothy Monte told lottery officials when he went to claim his prize that he thought he had won $40,000 instead of $4 million.

Monte said he purchased the winning ticket at Giant Station #25 at 2930 Coors Blvd. in Albuquerque, New Mexico, for the December 14th drawing. The Tohajiilee, New Mexico, native told lottery officials that he had purchased Megaplier for an extra dollar and quadrupled his prize after matching 05-22-26-43-49 on five white balls. With his winnings, Monte told lottery officials that he plans to help his family with it.
