Did Anyone Win the $383M Mega Millions Jackpot on 9/14/2021? Numbers and Results
The latest Mega Millions lottery drawing on September 14 created two new millionaires but no winner of the jackpot, which stood at $383 million (cash-value option $278.7million).
Tuesday night's numbers were 4, 13, 19, 63 and 64 for the white balls, while the yellow Mega Ball was 16. The Megaplier was X2.
Two tickets matched all of the white balls to claim the second prize, valued at $1 million. Both doubled to $2 million thanks to players purchasing a $1 Megaplier.
Twenty-five ticket holders matched four white balls and the Mega Ball, winning them each $10,000. Three of those players bought the Megaplier, which won them each $20,000.
There were 512 players who matched four white balls, which earned them each $500, with 98 of them each winning the Megaplier prize of $1,000.
There were also 1,327 winners who matched three white balls, each winning $200, with 247 of those ticket holders each winning the Megaplier prize of $400.
The next Mega Millions drawing will be on Friday, September 17, at 11 p.m. ET, for an estimated jackpot prize of $405 million, with a cash-value option of $294.7 million.
Last Friday's drawing also saw no jackpot winners but two tickets (one each sold in Florida and New York) matched the first five white balls, without matching the Mega Ball, earning them each the second prize of $1 million. Neither of the second prize winners purchased the Megaplier.
Twelve players last Friday matched four of the five white balls as well as the Mega Ball, each winning $10,000. One of these 12 third prize winners opted for the Megaplier, which raised their earnings to $20,000.
How to Play Mega Millions
Mega Millions drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. ET. Five white balls are drawn from a set of balls numbered 1 through 70, while one yellow Mega Ball is drawn from balls numbered 1 through 25. You win if the numbers on your lottery ticket match the numbers of the balls drawn on that date.
Mega Millions tickets cost $2 per play. If no one wins the jackpot prize, the money is added to the top prize for the following drawing.
Most states offer a Megaplier option, which costs an additional $1 per play and increases non-jackpot prizes by two, three, four or five times. Before each Mega Millions drawing on Tuesdays and Fridays, the Megaplier is drawn from a pool of 15 balls. Five of these balls are marked with 2X, six with 3X, three with 4X and one with 5X.
