Did Anyone Win the $122 Mega Millions Jackpot on 12/7/2021? Numbers and Results

The results of the Mega Millions lottery game for December 7, offering a jackpot prize of $122 million, with a cash-value option of $89 million, were revealed on Tuesday at 11 p.m. ET.

The latest numbers drawn were 1, 7, 40, 43 and 68 for the white balls, while the yellow Mega Ball was 1 and the Megaplier was 2x.

The latest game saw no winners of the top jackpot prize. But one lucky player in Florida matched the five white balls, which won them the second prize, valued at $1 million. Their second prize would have been worth $2 million had they purchased the Megaplier for an extra $1.

A dozen ticket holders correctly matched four white balls plus the Mega Ball, winning them each $10,000. Four of them purchased the Megaplier, doubling their third prize to $20,000.

There were 229 players who matched four of the five white balls, but not the Mega Ball, each earning $500, with 45 of them each earning the Megaplier prize of $1,000.

A group of 672 people matched three white balls, each winning $200, with 135 of them each winning the Megaplier prize of $400.

The next Mega Millions drawing will be on Friday, December 10, at 11 p.m. ET, for a jackpot prize of $135 million, with a cash-value option of $98.5 million.

Last Friday's drawing, for which the Megaplier was 5x, also saw no grand prize winner. But two players in California who matched the first five white balls, without the Mega Ball, each won the second prize of $1 million. Neither winner purchased the Megaplier.

Six ticket holders last Friday correctly matched four of the five white balls plus the Mega Ball, each claiming the $10,000 third prize. One of them purchased the Megaplier for an extra $1, which raised their third prize win to $50,000.

How to Play Mega Millions

Mega Millions drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. ET. Five white balls are drawn from a set of balls numbered 1 through 70, while one yellow Mega Ball is drawn from balls numbered 1 through 25. You win if the numbers on your lottery ticket match the numbers of the balls drawn on that date.

Mega Millions tickets cost $2 per play. If no one wins the jackpot prize, the money is added to the top prize for the following drawing.

Most states offer a Megaplier option, which costs an additional $1 per play and increases non-jackpot prizes by two, three, four or five times. Before each Mega Millions drawing on Tuesdays and Fridays, the Megaplier is drawn from a pool of 15 balls. Five of these balls are marked with 2X, six with 3X, three with 4X and one with 5X.

The odds of winning with a $2 Mega Millions ticket are one in 303 million. See the Mega Millions website for more information.
