Pregnant Meghan Markle Baby Shower Pictures: See the Duchess Celebrating New Royal in New York

Meghan Markle made her return from across the pond to celebrate the upcoming arrival of her first child. The Duchess of Sussex was spotted in New York City among friends who gathered together for Markle's baby shower on Tuesday.

While details of the royal feat were kept under wraps, the 37-year-old mom-to-be was spotted at lavish Upper East Side hotel, The Mark. Just ahead of her arrival, a flood of decorations was seen entering the hotel while a number of her close gal pals—including Abigail Spencer, Jessica Mulroney, Serena Williams and Priyanka Chopra—were also spotted arriving at The Mark with an abundance of baby gifts.

The duchess also made a pit stop at Michelin star restaurant Café Boulud.

The glowing new mother appeared in New York looking rather relaxed in dark sunglasses, Nearly Skinny Maternity jeans designed by Hatch Maternity and a mid-length grey coat, according to People magazine. Markle added a little glam to her look with a pair of beige heels and a matching bag by Carolina Herrera. As seems to be the trend for Markle, the new royal was candidly photographed cradling her growing baby bump as she walked the streets.

Following her baby shower, Markle spent the evening with tennis champion Williams. The friends enjoyed a luxurious dinner at Ralph Lauren's restaurant, The Polo Bar, along with Mulroney and Markus Anderson, who notably introduced Markle to her husband Prince Harry.

The New York trip likely marks the last time the Duchess will appear in the U.S. before welcoming her first child with Harry. The couple is expecting the baby's arrival sometime in April.

Kensington Palace confirmed the pair would soon be parents in a statement announcing Markle's pregnancy in October, just five months after they tied the knot. "Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019," the statement read.

"Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public," it continued.
