Meghan Markle's Brother Apologizes for Attacks, Feels 'Like a Complete A**'

Meghan Markle's half brother has apologized for telling Prince Harry to cancel the royal wedding—saying it was "quite possibly the biggest mistake of my life."

Thomas Markle Jr. castigated the Duchess of Sussex in an open letter to her future husband in the run-up to the royal wedding in 2018.

However, a fellow contestant on Australia's Big Brother VIP persuaded him to write a new open letter to the couple apologizing.

His newfound remorse comes just months after he described Meghan as "very shallow" in promo footage for the series.

Markle Jr.'s new letter, which he read on the show, said: "Dear Meghan and Harry, the first thing I want to say to both of you is that I'm sorry from the bottom of my heart for the awful mean letter that I wrote to you prior to your wedding.

"And I want both of you to know it did not come from the real person that I am, but came from a very dark and hurt part of my heart... I am not a mean person at all, and I have more love inside me to give than anything."

He added: "I feel like a complete a** for what I have done, and I am truly sorry for that.

"Meg, if I could really turn the clock back, I would truly tell you that I am so, so proud of you and truly I am so happy for you and Harry. And I love you."

The U-turn comes as a case involving their father Thomas Markle Sr. is about to be heard in Britain's Court of Appeal.

Meghan sued the Mail on Sunday for publishing a private letter she sent Markle Sr. and won a resounding victory in February.

However, the U.K. tabloid lodged an appeal which will be heard over three days starting Tuesday, November 9.

Markle Jr.'s letter read: "You are my little sister, my family and you always will be. Now you have found the love of your life and started a family of your own.. couldn't be more proud of you.

"The last several years of my life, I have grown and learned a lot more of myself and I must say that what I did to you with that letter is quite possibly the biggest mistake of my life.

"I truly hope you and Harry find it in your hearts somehow to accept my sincere apology because this is the real Tom Markle Jr. I truly love you guys and I want you to know that about me."

He concluded: "I wish you Megan, Harry, Archie and Lili the happiest, most loving life possible. Sincerely, your big brother, Tom."

His original letter read: "Dear Prince Harry, It's not to[o] late. Meghan Markle is obviously not the right woman for you. As more time passes to your royal wedding it became very clear that this is the biggest mistake in royal wedding history."
