Meghan McCain Defends Nancy Pelosi Over Donald Trump's 'Unhinged' Photo: 'She Looks Like A Bad B*tch In Control'

The daughter of the late Senator John McCain has come to the defense of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi after President Donald Trump shared a photo of her speaking and declared that she looked "unhinged."

Firing back at Trump on Twitter following the comment, Meghan McCain, who is a co-host on The View, wrote: "What is this thing everywhere where tough women who don't put up with shit are "unhinged"?! Nancy looks like a bad bitch in control of a room entirely filled with men!"

The president had shared the picture of Pelosi on Wednesday in a tweet to his followers, writing: "Nervous Nancy's unhinged meltdown," and prompting Pelosi to trend on Twitter after she made the picture the cover photo for her Twitter account.

Indeed, while the president appears to have described Pelosi's conduct during the meeting as unhinged, it has emerged that others who attended the meeting described Pelosi's conduct as cool in the face of an outburst from Trump, with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer commenting: "He was insulting, particularly to the Speaker. She kept her cool completely, but he called her a third-rate politician."

Pelosi and Schumer walked out of the meeting, prompting the president to tweet about the "do nothing Democrats," also sharing the picture of pelosi and describing her as unhinged.

Pelosi herself commented following the meeting: "I pray for the president all the time. I pray for his safety and that of his family. Now we have to pray for his health—because this was a very serious meltdown."

It is not the first time that Meghan McCain has openly criticized Trump, lashing out at the president's numerous comments about her father, who died in August 2018.

"No one will ever love you the way they loved my father.... I wish I had been given more Saturday's with him. Maybe spend yours with your family instead of on Twitter obsessing over mine?" McCain tweeted after Trump mentioned her late father in a tweet criticizing him.

She later spoke about the president on The View, commenting: "Listen, he spends his weekend obsessing over great men, because he knows it, and I know it and all of you know it: He will never be a great man."

The president repeatedly spoke out against the late Senator McCain while he was alive, after the senator cast a vote against Trump's repeal of Obamacare that saw the motion fail—something Trump appeared not to have forgotten, given his frequent mocking of McCain's thumbs-down gesture.
