Melania Trump sparked comparisons to Princess Diana's style from the moment she landed in the U.K. on Monday. The first lady is visiting the country for a three-day tour alongside her husband, President Donald Trump, and other members of the first family.

Melania Trump was seemingly paying homage to Great Britain before she even arrived in the country. She was spotted boarding Air Force One wearing a Gucci shirtdress covered in prints of landmarks like Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. For her arrival at Stansted airport, Melania Trump switched up her look, donning a navy skirt suit paired with a blue, red and white sleeveless Gucci blouse featuring the first lady's signature pussy-bow.

However, it was her third look of the day that some people on social media believed was inspired by the late Princess of Wales.

Melania Trump accompanied the president to his meeting with Queen Elizabeth II, who is hosting the first family during their U.K. tour, and appeared at Buckingham Palace wearing a custom white crepe dress by Dolce & Gabbana, adorned with a navy blue collar and matching waist-belt. Perched on top of Melania Trump's head was a sleek white hat featuring a navy band around the brim designed by her couturier, Hervé Pierre. She finished the look with navy Manolo Blahnik heels.

Melania Trump remained in the dress for her visit to Westminster Abbey, where Donald Trump laid a wreath at the Grave of the Unknown Warrior with Prince Andrew, Duke Of York.

Her outfit resemble's a number of looks Diana wore to royal engagements during the 1980s and 1990s. A favorite color combination of the late princess, Diana famously wore navy and white to the Royal Ascot on many occasions—she donned striped versions and polka dots of the colorwave in addition to color-block and contrasting styles. However, it may have been Diana's white suit with navy trimmings wore to 1995's VJ Day 50th Anniversary Celebrations in London that inspired Melania Trump's Buckingham Palace ensemble, particularly Diana's boxy white hat with a thick navy band around the brim.

Some people thought Melania Trump's look resembled My Fair Lady's Eliza Doolittle played by Audrey Hepburn, while others drew comparisons of Rose DeWitt Bukater's (Kate Winslet) in the 1997 hit Titanic.

@FLOTUS Nice outfit at Westminster, Melania. Appropriate and reminiscent of Princess Diana. I'm sure that was your plan.
