However, this Memorial Day is overshadowed by the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, affecting many businesses' opening hours. Restaurants in particular have been affected by the outbreak, with many having to close their dine-in options to aid social distancing.

Below is a list of the opening hours and rules in places for some of the most popular dining options across the U.S. today.

Applebees: Following a welcome back message from the company's president, these restaurants will be open this Memorial Day. There will be social distancing rules in place as well as a select menu. Check your local store for confirmation of hours.

Arby's: While these restaurants will be open, they will mainly be running drive-thru operations and adhering to social distancing rules.

Burger King: The fast-food restaurant will be open for Memorial Day, though check ahead of time as some hours might vary per location. Also, some places might also be running a drive-thru operation.

Chick-fil-A: The restaurant will be operating as normal on Memorial Day, however, check ahead to ascertain which services are being offered.

Dairy Queen: Check ahead to see if your location is running its services this Memorial Day as hours might vary State to State.

Dunkin' Donuts: While dine-in isn't available, pick-up and delivery services are this Memorial Day.

KFC: Check with your local store for operating hours and to confirm which services are being offered.

McDonald's: There's rarely a time when McDonald's is closed—check your local restaurant to see which services are on offer and their operating times, which could vary store to store.

Olive Garden: Car-side pickup is available—just order online this Memorial Day,

Pizza Hut: The fast-food pizzeria will be open this Memorial Day, however, check with your local store as hours might vary by location.

Starbucks: The coffee house will be open for orders on Memorial Day. According to the company's website, many Starbucks locations have been serving their communities at the drive-thru.
