How to Watch 2018 Met Gala Live Stream to See Celebrity Red Carpet Arrivals

It's the first Monday in May, and once again your invite to fashion's biggest night of the year, the 2018 Met Gala, got lost in the mail, or maybe you just didn't have $30,000 to buy a ticket.

But don't throw your vintage couture gown in the back of your closet just yet. You can still watch your favorite celebrities as they make their way up the iconic steps of New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art in the most beautiful, avant-garde gowns.

The annual benefit will see some of the fashion industry's most elite players come together to celebrate the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute's spring exhibition. This year's theme, "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination," aims to explore "fashion's ongoing engagement with the devotional practices and traditions of Catholicism," according to the Met's website.

Red carpet arrivals are expected to start around 5:45 p.m. ET. While the event won't be televised, viewers will be able to live stream the Met Gala red carpet on their smart devices. Vogue will offer a live stream of its red carpet coverage on its Instagram and Twitter handles.

Meanwhile, E! will host its annual Live From the Red Carpet show, documenting celebs as they make their way along the red carpet and into the museum. The network has had hosts on-site in previous years, but at the 2018 Met Gala, E! resident fashionista Giuliana Rancic, celebrity stylist Brad Goreski, former Teen Vogue editor-in-chief Elaine Welterorth and fashion editor Zanna Roberts Rassi will offer their commentary remotely.

The Met Gala coverage on E! kicks off at 6:30 p.m. ET. Fans can also follow all the Met Gala banter by checking out E! live streams of the event on the network's Facebook Live, E! Online, E! mobile app, Apple News and YouTube at 6:30 p.m. ET.

Although it's unclear who exactly will show up at the event—invites are always kept top secret—fashion lovers should expect to see the gala's co-chairs, Anna Wintour, Amal Clooney, Donatella Versace and Rihanna, along with A-list celebrities like Gigi and Bella Hadid, Kim Kardashian and Nicki Minaj.
