Rihanna to Dan Levy: The Best Outfit Changes From Met Gala to After-Party
While the Met Gala always delivers breathtaking fashion, the transition from the main event to the after-party can be just as dazzling.
These were some of Newsweek's favorite outfit changes from the Met Gala to the after-party this time out
Rihanna

At one point, it was looking as if the singer, who always stuns on the Met Gala red carpet, wouldn't attend this year's event.
The 33-year-old arrived fashionably late alongside boyfriend A$AP Rocky, entering the museum long after other stars had made their way inside the venue and Vogue had ended its live red carpet coverage.
The couple made their joint Met Gala debut wearing head-to-toe Balenciaga as they were the last celebrities to walk the red carpet.
Hosting the after-party, Rihanna transformed from her voluminous black gown to a black T-shirt and sheer skirt.

Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner drew inspiration from Audrey Hepburn's Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady for her custom Givenchy gown on the red carpet.
Heading to the after-party, she shared a glimpse of her outfit on her Instagram story, wearing a red dress.

Madison Beer

For Madison Beer's first Met Gala, she wore a beautiful emerald green gown by One/Of by Patricia Voto.
Switching things up for the after-party, she shared a selfie on her Instagram Story that showed her wearing a one-shoulder black dress with lace accents.

Dan Levy

This year also marked Dan Levy's first appearance at the Met Gala.
Walking the red carpet, he turned heads in a custom Loewe creation.
His embellished suit paid homage to an artwork created by American multimedia artist David Wojnarowicz's that features two men kissing.
Explaining the meaning behind the look on Instagram, the Schitt's Creek creator wrote: "We wanted to celebrate queer love and visibility - acknowledging how hard artists like Wojnarovicz had to fight, while also presenting the imagery in a way that offered a hopeful message.
"Tonight, we're celebrating the resilience, the love, and the joy of the community while honoring a crucial American voice that was taken from us too soon.
"To mark the collaboration, Loewe has made a donation to Visual AIDS, an organization Wojnarovicz supported, that continues to promote AIDS awareness and education."
The actor also wore another outfit by the Spanish luxury fashion label when he attended the after-party, swapping the colorful suit for a black sweater, black leather pants and beige boots.
