Michael Avenatti: 'Dazed and Confused' Giuliani Has 'Lost His Mind' After Joe Biden Attack

Michael Avenatti slammed Donald Trump's attorney Rudy Giuliani, calling him "dazed and confused" for his latest comments attacking Joe Biden.

"Dazed and Confused Rudy has lost his mind. His attacks on @JoeBiden are absolutely baseless - just like his attacks on women. Joe is anything but "dumb." I finally agree with Dazed Rudy on one thing though, the most compelling nominee in 2020 would be someone new. #Basta," Avenatti said in a tweet early Saturday morning.

In an interview with Huffpost on Friday, Giuliani called Biden a "mentally deficient idiot" and said that if Biden were to make a presidential run in 2020 he would easily be shut down by Donald Trump.

"Joe Biden is a moron," Giuliani said, citing instances where the two worked together when Giuliani was a federal prosecuator and Biden a senator from Delaware.

Giuliani, who campaigned for president in 2008 but eventually exited the race and endorsed Republican nominee John McCain, also said that Biden was too "old" to seriously consider a run and that if the Democratic Party wants any chance of taking back the Oval Office they "need someone new, who would be more threatening to us. They've got to hit us with a surprise."

Avenatti, who is representing Stormy Daniels in her lawsuit against Trump, has been sparring with Giuliani for weeks. After Giuliani slammed Daniels' credibility because of her profession as an adult film star, Avenatti called Giuliani a "disgusting pig" and urged for Trump to fire him immediately.

Avenatti also asked the public to help him find evidence of Giuliani "voluntarily watching porn" to show Giuliani's "hypocrisy."

But Avenatti did admit he does agree with one of Giuliani's comments, that Democrats need to find a new and unexpected candidate to run against Trump in the 2020 election.

Avenatti has been outspoken about his distaste for the Trump administration and has some background in Democratic politics. In the biography section of his website, Avenatti says that he has worked on over 150 campaigns in 42 states, including Joe Biden's Senate campaign.
