Microsoft Details E3 Plans, Multiple Venues, Show Floor Info And More

Microsoft has revealed plans for the company's presence at E3 2018, and claims this will be its biggest E3 showing yet. Along with the traditional press conference, Microsoft is planning a number of ways for fans to get involved in all the fun.

Fittingly, Xbox will take over the Microsoft Theater, across the street from the Los Angeles Convention Center. This is where the Xbox E3 2018 Briefing will take place on June 10, along with a number of FanFest activities, hands-on gameplay stations and demos for E3 attendees. The reason for the switch to demos at the Microsoft Theater is to ensure more people can try new games than ever before.

Xbox will still have a presence on the E3 show floor, but it will be less game-focused than in years past. The Xbox E3 2018 booth will be dedicated to Mixer, Microsoft's streaming platform. There will still be games to stream and play at the booth, but it sounds like the real action will be at the Microsoft Theater.

The big press conference will take place on June 10 at 4 p.m. EDT. New games, including Crackdown 3, Forza and other first-party games are expected to make an appearance, alongside other third-party games. More details, including how to attend as a fan, will be announced in the coming weeks. Keep an eye on the Xbox Wire for updates in April.
