Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and his wife Lauren (née Pesce) recently announced that they're expecting a baby boy. The news came via social media on Tuesday, with posts featuring the couple in front of a Christmas tree all lit up with blue lights, and holding a tiny blue pair of shoes for the Little Situation to wear when he arrives.
"Gym Tan We're having a baby boy," The Situation wrote on both Instagram and Twitter. (We'll say this for him, the man knows his brand.)
But we here at Newsweek were curious about what Sorrentino's Jersey Shore cast mates had to say about the news, and if they had any advice for the father-to-be. So, we asked.

In an emailed statement to Newsweek, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi (who has three boys of her own) said that parenthood should come naturally to both Sorrentinos. "It's normal to be nervous and terrified! There's no such thing as a perfect parent, so don't stress. Everything will come naturally, and knowing them, they are going to be the most loving parents ever," she wrote.
In statements received by Newsweek, Deena Nicole Buckner (who has one boy and is expecting another) reiterated the importance of following one's instincts. "Go with your gut no matter what others say. You're the little one's parents and YOU know what's best for him. Some days will be hard, but don't ever doubt yourself...every parent has gone through it. With every hard day there's one million great days!!! You and Lauren are going to be such amazing parents," Buckner wrote.
Jennifer "JWoww" Farley warned the Sorrentinos about the lack of sleep that comes with a new baby. "Get all the sleep you can now because once Baby Situation comes, you won't sleep for the next 25 years. Cherish every moment because they grow up so fast (Meilani [Farley's daughter] is basically a 6-year-old going on 16)," she wrote.
The Sorrentinos appear to have already set up an Instagram account for their upcoming child with updates on Lauren's pregnancy. In the account's announcement post, the pair asked for advice on raising a baby boy and where to shop for new clothes. "My parents were waiting to see if they could host my first party for the reveal but because of the C word, they decided to be safe, most especially for me, and host it virtually," the caption reads.
In a comment on Lauren's Instagram, Buckner also expressed her excitement for the inevitable playdates between the two Jersey Shore families. "I'm soooooo happy for you two!! Our little boys are gonna be best buddies," she wrote.
A brand new episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation will air Thursday at 8 p.m.
