A mom was left in shock by what she discovered in her young daughter's purse.
Among the essentials Madison Sponsler discovered in her daughter's bag were 21 baby carrots (complete with dog hair), two play knives, ChapStick, a stick of butter, a block, her mom's deodorant, a wad of cold cuts—and a pair of kids' scissors.
"The wad of lunch meat was my personal favorite," Sponsler told Newsweek.

Sponsler, 26, shared her four-year-old's secret stash in a now viral reel on Instagram (@thesponslercrew) and had mixed feelings about what was inside. "Not sure if I'm scared or impressed," she wrote in her caption.
Featuring Hannah Montana's "Ordinary Girl" for the reel's audio, Sponsler pulled out each item one by one.
The knives certainly caused confusion, while the deodorant was something the mom-of-three had been searching for high and low.
As for the random block, that doubles up as her cell phone, of course: "[It's] her most used item," Sponsler added.
Toddlers and young children are keen observers and often mimic adult behaviors, such as carrying a purse.
Research shows that pretend play allows them to explore different scenarios and roles, enhancing their cognitive abilities.
Liberty, who was born with Down syndrome, is "the funniest child you will ever meet," according to her mom.
She and her husband Joshua Sponsler didn't know about her condition until she was born.
"We had no idea during our pregnancy," Madison told Newsweek. "She is sassy [and] if you've met her, you can't forget her!"
Madison's reel had been viewed 6.6 million times and received over 400,000 likes at the time of writing. Thousands of users commented on the clip, many of whom applauded Liberty for always carrying the essentials.
"Girl has her priorities straight," one user wrote.
"Snacks, deodorant, chapstick and weapon of choice, doesn't every girl have this in her purse? She's hilarious," another laughed.
Others were impressed by Liberty's idea of hiding the knives and scissors at the back of her purse so her mom wouldn't see them.
As one user put it, "Girl is prepared for anything. But mostly lunch on a hot day."
