‘Monster Hunter World’ Events Add ‘Devil May Cry’ Quest

Capcom announced another collaboration between its popular Monster Hunter World and one of its properties. This time, Dante from the Devil May Cry series will make his way to Monster Hunter World through a future event quest.

According to the Capcom Unity blog, the Devil May Cry event quest coming to Monster Hunter World will allow players to fight “hellish foes” to earn the Force Edge and Alastor, Dante’s signature blades. These blades are part of the Charge Blade category of weapons in Monster Hunter World. Unlike other Charge Blades this one lacks a shield, but hunters will still be able to guard. Charge Blades in Monster Hunter World combine the shield with the sword to transform into axes, but the Devil May Cry weapons will have the Force Edge transform into Alastor.

Timing for this special event quest was not revealed but the Capcom Unity blog encourages fans to frequent the site for updates on when the Devil May Cry weapons will become available.  The Devil May Cry quest in Monster Hunter World will likely be similar to the Horizon Zero Dawn event where players completed a mission and gathered resources to craft new gear  based on Aloy from HZD .

Monster Hunter World is available now for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
