'MTG' Ravnica Allegiance Card Reveal: A Rare Green Druid Enters the Fight
The latest Magic: The Gathering card set, Ravnica Allegiance, will release on January 25 and Newsweek has the honor of revealing a brand new card from the upcoming set. Without further ado, meet the Incubation Druid.

Incubation Druid is a green Elf creature card and can be summoned for two mana, but don't expect to be doing much damage with it. A 0/2 creature, Incubation Druid isn't going to take down any opponents, or at least not right away. If you can use its Adapt ability, Incubation Druid gains three +1/+1 counters.
The real highlight for Incubation Druid is its ability to get your mana pool going. Tap Incubation Druid on your turn to add one mana of any color land you currently control to your pool. If Incubation Druid has a +1/+1 counter on it, add three mana instead.
This is a great card for the early game, allowing players to add more mana to summon stronger spells and creatures first. Adapt makes it easier for Incubation Druid to get a counter too, making it even more powerful. That said, Adapt requires a total of five mana to use, which means you might be better off getting a counter on Incubation Druid from another card or ability if you want to use Adapt early on.
Ravnica Allegiance is the culmination of the 10-guild cycle that began with Guilds of Ravnica. The five new guilds found in Ravnica Allegiance include The Azorius Senate (White/Blue), The Orzhov Syndicate (White/Black), The Rakdos Cult (Black/Red), The Gruul Clans (Red/Green) and The Simic Combine (Blue/Green).
Ravnica has become one of the most popular worlds in the Magic universe, and Ravnica Allegiance marks the third time players will return in the modern era. This is the first world in Magic to be featured three times.
Ravnica Allegiance releases on January 25 with a prerelease set for January 19. The set will be playable in MTG Arena starting on January 17.
