MTV Movie & TV Awards 2022: How to Watch and Live Stream the Ceremony

Ever since 1992's inaugural event, the MTV Movie Awards has aimed to offer something a little different to other A-list ceremonies

Instead of copying its competitors' usually staid and respectable occasions, the MTV Movie & TV Awards traditionally provides an irreverent take, transforming the experience into an entertaining event packed with unexpected antics.

Expect 2022's MTV Movie & TV Awards to provide more of the same when the show kicks off on Sunday, June 5 at 8 p.m. PT (11 p.m. ET).

Marvel's latest Spider-Man blockbuster, The Batman reboot and high school drama Euphoria lead the nominations.

This year's iteration will seem a little different to eagle-eyed fans, as the MTV Movie & TV Awards will combine the Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted with the regular ceremony.

Read on to find out how to watch the stars of your favorite TV shows and movies via the MTV Awards live stream.

Although much remains under wraps to preserve some no-doubt high-profile surprises, some big names have already been confirmed to play a big part in proceedings

Funnyman and musician Jack Black will be honored with the Comedic Genius Award at the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards.

Black will become the fifth recipient of the award, following Sacha Baron Cohen at last year's ceremony, Melissa McCarthy in 2016, Kevin Hart in 2015 and Will Ferrell the previous year.

A statement on MTV reads: "The occasion of being honored with the Comedic Genius Award is indeed something to celebrate. It might even be the kind of thing Black would call "kinda... juicy."

DJ Snoopadelic, perhaps better known as West Coast hip-hop pioneer Snoop Dogg, has also been confirmed as anchoring the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards celebration.

MTV said: "When Snoop's in the house —'Two in the morning and the party's still jumping,' you may recall—the festivities simply continue until he says so."

And The Bachelorette star Tayshia Adams will also be on hand as the host for the MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted, helping celebrate the night with "extra jaw-dropping and juicy drama-filled moments from your favorite reality shows."
