Naked Trump Fights Putin as Satire Show Depicts President as Grotesque Puppet

British satire show Spitting Image is returning to television screens in October—and its trailer features some pretty unpleasant scenes of a naked President Trump puppet.

The trailer sees a puppet U.K. prime minister Boris Johnson explain the Spitting Image show to the puppet of Trump, as a "sketch show with puppet caricatures of real people, and it can be rather nasty."

Puppet-Trump replies: "Puppets? That's the very most moronic thing I have ever heard. My puppet is going to be the best puppet and I love it."

The final scene of the trailer, however, sees Trump and Johnson sitting together in a sauna, eating fried chicken, dressed only in towels around their waists.

A tiny puppet of Russian President Vladimir Putin, wearing a leather collar and escorted by two women, tells Trump and Johnson to leave. A fight ensues, including a puerile scene with full-frontal nudity of all three leaders.

Though they are not in the trailer, puppets of Melania Trump and Ivanka Trump have also been created, as have puppets of Barack and Michelle Obama, and Joe Biden.

The Spitting Image official trailer is here.

The sketch show originally aired in the 1980s and was canceled in 1996. Now it's back, and more than 100 figures have been transformed into puppets.

But it's not just politicians, Spitting Image targets celebrities too. In the trailer, a puppet of Kanye West declares himself the ruler of the earth, while Gwyneth Paltrow tries to sell "anus oil." Kim Kardashian West also features, as do singers Billie Eilish and Ed Sheeran, among others.

Puppets of other major celebrities have also been created, including Adele, Harry Styles, RuPaul, Taylor Swift, and Chrissy Teigen.

Members of the British royal family, including Charles and Camilla, Harry and Meghan, and Prince Andrew, have also been transformed into less-than-flattering puppets, as has The Queen of England herself.

Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos also feature to steal other puppets' data and money, as does Greta Thunberg, the latter of which has sparked a backlash, with some accusing Splitting Image of "punching-down." However, Thunberg has "liked" the image of her puppet on Twitter.

In a press release, co-creator executive producer Roger Law said: "Everything the team [has] done on the new Spitting Image shows, the caricatures, puppets, and satirical gags have all been done in the public interest, as Boris might say 'Pro bono publico.'

"It's time to come off furlough! The people have spoken and the puppets are oven-ready. We're going to take back control from the likes of Boris, Cummings, Trump, Kim Kardashian, and Kanye West. There will be tongue-lashings from our weather girl; Greta Thunberg, you'll be knocked out by Tyson Fury and dazzled and amazed by Beyoncé and Herr Jürgen Klopp."

Spitting Image will air in the U.K. on BritBox on October 3.
