The Pima County Sheriff's Department gave an update on the investigation into the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie Friday night, saying that the task force continues to work with labs in an attempt to further DNA analysis in the investigation.
"Earlier this month investigators traveled to Florida to meet with lab scientists to see what more could be done to advance the case. A number of ideas were discussed, and we continue to work with all of our partners to solve this case," the update from the sheriff's department said on X.
Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Today show co-host Savannah Guthrie, has been missing for several months. She was last seen at her home in the Catalina Foothills near Tucson, Arizona, on January 31. The disappearance and search have since sparked nationwide attention.

When reached for comment, the sheriff's department told Newsweek Friday night that they had no additional information to provide.
What We Know About the Investigation
Law enforcement thinks Guthrie was taken against her will or kidnapped, as drops of blood were found outside her front door. In the month following her disappearance, authorities released a video showing a masked individual outside of her home on the night of her disappearance. That person has been described as a suspect.
The video shows the person wearing a ski mask, gloves and a backpack, while messing with the doorbell camera of Guthrie's home.
Following the disappearance, Guthrie's children made pleas to the public in videos and posts to social media, asking anyone to come forward to help identify the person.
Possible ransom notes have surfaced throughout the investigation and last month one was deemed "not credible."
The sheriff's department said no tip is too small and urges members of the public to call 88-CRIME or 1-800-CALL-FBI to report any information.
This is a developing story that will be updated with additional information.
