National Sandwich Day 2021: The Best Deals and Lunch Offers

National Sandwich Day is upon us, kicking off all over the country on November 3. That means at some of your favorite sandwich joints, there will be deals, freebies and even charity events.

From Schlotzsky's to Subway, there are events taking place at restaurants, fast food and sandwich outlets to commemorate this day, which celebrates all things sandwiched in two slices of bread.

Newsweek breaks down some of the deals you can get your hands on or ways you can make a difference on National Sandwich Day.

Subway

At Subway, not only can you get a freebie but you can also give a free meal away to someone in need.

For National Sandwich Day, Subway is running The Good Deed Feed which means those who buy a sub and any drink on November 3 will receive a free sub of equal or lesser value.

But as well as giving away a free sub, Subway will also donate one meal to Feeding America.

President and CEO of Subway Suzanne Greco said: "One in eight Americans are going hungry, and we're in the business of feeding people.

"Many of our franchisees have been committed to fighting hunger in their communities for years, and we're proud of The Good Deed Feed and the impact it will have on a national level."

As well as that, customers can also access a custom National Sandwich Day Snapchat filter that can be unlocked in the restaurant, only on November 3.

White Castle

Though not a sandwich shop, White Castle is getting in on the action and launching a deal for November 3 only.

The deal is a buy one, get one free deal, where with any original or cheese slider, you can get another for free.

To get the deal, head to the website and download the coupon which will allow you to get the deal.

Schlotzsky's

Schlotzsky's is also doing a deal for those who visit the store or buy online on November 3.

Using the Schlotzsky's app, customers can buy a medium sandwich for just $5 on National Sandwich Day, with a limit of five discounted medium sandwiches per purchase.

These can be ordered online or in store, but are not valid on small or large sandwiches.

McAlister's Deli

McAlister's Deli is launching a National Sandwich Day deal which will actually last for two weeks, ending on November 17.

Rewards members will be credited a buy one, get one half price deal in their accounts on November 3, which can be used until November 17.

It can't be combined with other deals and is not available at every location, so head to your local McAlister's to see if they have a deal.

Potbelly

The Potbelly sandwich shop is also doing a deal for one day only, which is available online and on the app.

It is another buy one, get one free deal, which means when you buy an original or big sandwich, you get an original sandwich free on November 3.

Panera Bread

At Panera Bread, rather than doing a sandwich deal, they are offering fans the chance to win a custom painting of themselves.

By signing up to PaneraSandwichArt.com before November 8, sandwich lovers can win a painting of themselves on top of their favorite Panera sandwich, as painted by artist Celebs on Sandwiches.

Jimmy John's

At Jimmy John's, National Sandwich Day brings with it the You Buy, We Give fundraising event.

The sandwich shop will donate 100 percent of sales of the new Beefy Black & Bleu sandwich to the Jimmy John's Foundation.

Those looking for a freebie on November 3 can sign up to Freaky Fast Rewards, which will earn customers a free sandwich after their first order.
