'NBA 2K22' Guide: How to Change the Camera Settings

NBA 2K22 is out now and, as is traditional for the annual series, the latest version makes quite a few changes to the player experience.

For gamers who are wondering how to adjust the camera settings in the latest instalment of the basketball franchise, Newsweek has you covered.

How to Change Your Camera Settings in 'NBA 2K22'

Contrary to what you might expect, you do not need to go into the features menu to adjust camera perspective in NBA 2K22.

Instead, you will have to boot up a match and then tweak your settings while you are on court.

With that in mind, you should be competing offline against A.I. bots when you try to make any changes, rather than doing it live in the middle of a fierce contest with another player.

To start an offline game, select "Play Now" from the launch menu and create a "Quick Play" match. Once the court has loaded, you will notice that the camera has defaulted to "broadcast mode", which is intended to replicate the feel of watching an NBA game on television.

If this setup is not to your liking, you can easily change it. These are the steps for adjusting your camera settings in NBA 2K22:

  • Press the pause button
  • Navigate to the camera options menu
  • Adjust the settings or cycle through the preset options
  • Press the back button and save your changes

You can find the camera options tab by scrolling all the way to the right-hand side of the pause menu.

When you open the tab, you will see that you have the ability to customize the camera's zoom level, height, rev angle and flip style. You can tweak these individual settings however best suits you.

Alternatively, you can press the shoulder buttons (LB and RB for Xbox or L1 and R1 for PlayStation) to cycle through a number of presets.

Once you are happy, press the back button. You will then be prompted to save and apply your changes. You can choose whether to apply the settings to your current game only, or every game going forward.

'NBA 2K22' Platforms and Crossplay Status

NBA 2K22 is available now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PC.

Although the game does support cross-gen (allowing you to synchronize your progress between PS4 and PS5, or between Xbox One and Xbox Series X), there is no crossplay functionality. This means you will not be able to play with friends who own the game on a different platform.
