The Gen2 Car: The 2018 season finale in NYC features the ABB FIA Gen2 cars that are new for the season and will be in service over the next 3 seasons. The Gen2 cars feature double the energy storage capacity of the prior generation and double the range so drivers can complete a full race without swapping cars like in previous seasons. Combined with advanced aerodynamics these new cars have captured imaginations sensation since their big reveal in January at the Geneva Motor Show.

The waterfront racing circuit in Red hook Brooklyn has been updated this year to a 2.373km long circuit (.42km longer than last year) with 14 corners and extended areas for drivers to overtake slower cars. With the new Gen2 cars on the grid and no mid race car swaps it looks to be a serious competition with both the Drivers' (L. Vergne vs. S. Bird) & Constructors' Championships (Techeetah vs. Audi) on the line. Get ready for an electrifying experience with the Formula E finale, coming soon!
