Despite reports NeNe Leakes was being sidelined from Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 12, representatives for the Bravo reality star claimed there are no plans to push Leakes off the show.

Strife among Leakes and her costars, as well as the production team, resulted in rumors Leakes was being shunned from filming Season 12 of the show, which is currently in production. Gossip site LoveBScott was first to report the rumors, which have since been disputed by Leakes' representatives.

"I can say with authority that there is absolutely no truth to this. The only reason why she's not currently shooting is because she is still in active negotiations with her contract," reps for Leaks said in a statement to Entertainment Tonight on Friday.

Leakes faced a particularly tumultuous Season 11 of RHOA after facing marital problems with husband Gregg Leakes in the midst of his cancer battle. She also faced criticism when she aggressively ripped a cameraman's shirt. Leakes lashed out at the cameraman during a March episode of the show after he followed her and a few other RHOA cast members into Leakes' closet. Albeit violent, the incident appeared to be a minor altercation on the show, however, castmates Porsha Williams and Kandi Burress later revealed the man ended up losing a tooth and had to stay overnight at a hospital following the event.

Only adding fuel to the fire, she barely interacted with her castmates during the Season 11 reunion in April, causing some fans to accuse her of not caring about the show anymore. At the end of the three-part reunion, Leakes unfollowed some of her castmates on Instagram, including Burruss, Williams, Cynthia Bailey, Eva Marcille and Tanya Sam. However, she continues to follow RHOA newcomer Shamari DeVoe and Marlo Hampton.

Season 12 likely won't premiere on Bravo until late 2019. Nonetheless, fans should expect it to be a particularly interesting season now that Leakes' longtime enemy, Kenya Moore, is slated to make her big return on the show. Much of the tension surrounding Leakes her castmates seemed to stem from Moore's surprise cameo earlier in the season.

While Leakes hasn't begun filming the new season yet, Moore has already been spotted shooting scenes with Williams, Bailey and Hampton. The women appeared at the Atlanta Ultimate Women's Expo in early June and Moore hinted at her Season 12 role. "I would say there's some truth to that," Moore said when asked about rumors regarding her return to RHOA.
