Streaming service Netflix is reportedly not working for a number of users across the world.

According to the Down Detector website, issues with Netflix have been reported in cities such as San Francisco, New York and Dallas, as well as in Canada and some countries in Europe.

A number of people also reported problems with Netflix on social media.

Fellow Twitter user @4EverTaveah added: "Love how as soon as I lay down to watch some netflix. The website doesn't want to load."

According to Down Detector, issues were previously reported with Netflix on July 27, 29 and 30.

Netflix has been contacted for comment.

Recently, Netflix announced that it is set to enter a multi-film deal with actress Jennifer Garner following the success of the movie Yes Day.

Yes Day, which also stars Edgar Ramirez and Jenna Ortega, was seen by 62 million households and is Netflix's biggest Kids & Family film release.

As part of the multi-picture partnership, Garner will reprise her role as Allison Torres for a sequel to Yes Day, which the 49-year-old will also produce.

"Having known Scott [Stuber, Netflix's head of Global Film] for 15 years, there is a reason his relationships in the business stand the test of time," Garner said in a statement. "He is as true blue as he is smart and intuitive about filmmaking.

"I am honored to join the awesome group of creatives in the Netflix family, and I am extremely excited to work with their passionate and innovative teams across all departments. I had the most gratifying, creative, experience bringing Yes Day to life.

"Seeing Netflix's global reach as the Torres family wreaked havoc in homes all over the world makes me eager to dive in with another Day of Yes; I can't wait. I am grateful for Netflix's continued support and look forward to mixing it up across the board with this partnership."

Stuber added: "I first worked with Jen on The Kingdom 14 years ago and consider myself very lucky to still be in business with her today. As an actor, she's proven herself to be incredibly versatile in unforgettable roles spanning fast-paced action, heartfelt comedies, and thought-provoking dramas.

"She approaches every aspect of her work with such detail and preparation, which makes her an extremely valuable partner and producer. We look forward to celebrating another Yes Day with Jen and collaborating on many other exciting projects."

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
