A New Online Aids Database

Until recently, researching AIDS-related patents was an arduous and sometimes costly proposition. But last month, the U.S Patent and Trademark Office unveiled a database that will offer the information free on the Internet. The AIDS Patent Database, funded by the National Science Foundation, will give users access to the full text and illustrations of 1,565 patents covering everything from diagnostics to drugs.
