New Spider-Man Poster: All the Villains Featuring in 'No Way Home'

Spider-Man: No Way Home is out in December, and already fans are getting excited about the team of villains their hero could be coming up against.

A new poster has made some clear suggestions of who those villains could be, some of which have previously been teased in trailers.

However, this poster has stoked the fire for some interesting fan theories about the villains who may be making their debut, which would be very exciting.

Fans already know villains from earlier Spider-Man movies are returning, as the multiverse is burst wide open by Peter Parker (played by Tom Holland) and Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch).

Newsweek breaks down all the villains referenced in the Spider-Man: No Way Home poster and the theories which accompany it.

Doctor Octopus

Doctor Octopus (played by Alfred Molina) has already turned up in the trailer, so his presence is very well known.

In the poster, Spidey is sitting on top of the carnage caused by his villains, with the huge metal arms of Doc Ock moving around him.

Green Goblin

In the trailers, a pumpkin bomb and evil cackle have been heard already, which can only mean one thing: the Green Goblin is back.

This has been confirmed in the poster, as a small figure flying his hovercraft is seen whizzing around the sky, likely ready to cause Spider-Man's demise.

The laugh heard in the trailer is that of Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin, and the image on the poster looks similar to this incarnation of the villain.

Jamie Foxx's presence in the movie has already been confirmed as he made his debut in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, where he played the villain Electro.

Electro's lightning bolt can be seen across the sky in the poster, which seemingly confirms his presence in the movie once again.

Though the Green Goblin was considered the iconic villain of the original Spider-Man trilogy from Sam Raimi, a new evil turned up in the third film: Sandman.

Played by Thomas Haden Church, Sandman was trying desperately to save his daughter, but turned to crime and villainy in the process.

There are sand particles alongside Electro's lightning on the poster, suggesting he could be one of the villains set to return.

The Sinister Six

This foursome has given way to theories about The Sinister Six, a group of villains who fight Spider-Man.

We have seen one of these already: Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) who fought Spider-Man in Far From Home, only to reveal the hero's identity as his final blow.

The last member of the Sinister Six is Kraven the Hunter, who has been confirmed to be entering Sony's Spider-Man Universe, played by Aaron Taylor Johnson.

It may be he will make a quick debut here before he is seen on the big screen in his standalone movie, which is set for release in 2023.

However, fans are also wondering if other villains may make up a new Sinister Six for this film.

One tweet suggests Paul Giamatti and Rhys Ifans' characters from The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Rhino and Lizard, could make up the rest of the Sinister Six along with the four represented on the poster.

Damn you got the entire sinister six laughing

Others think Jared Leto's Morbius and the Vulture, played by Michael Keaton in Spider-Man: Homecoming, could make up the other players in this group.

Pretty sure Vulture recruits Morbius for the MCU Sinister Six
