New Year's Eve Food and Dinner Ideas, According to TikTok

New Year's Eve is perhaps the ultimate occasion to celebrate, as it neatly wraps up the past 12 months and offers a great way to kick off the big calendar flip on a positive (and hopeful) note.

And whether you are entertaining guests or just enjoying a quiet night in, New Year's Eve would not be the same without a mouth-watering selection of snacks or something a little more special and substantial.

So, read on to discover some of the very best TikTok recipes fit for a party or a tasty treat while home alone this New Year's Eve.

Oreo Balls

Take a pack of Oreo biscuits and blend them in a food processor, before adding 8oz of cream cheese and thoroughly combining.

Roll 1 tbsp of the resulting mixture into ball shapes and place them on a baking tray, then allow to chill in a freezer for approximately 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, take 8oz of Almond bark or Candy melts and melt in the microwave until liquid.

Take the now-chilled balls and dip individually into the white sauce—creator Mallory Hudson reassures viewers these "don't have to be perfect."

Finally, gold sprinkles are added to the white balls "for some extra flair."

Champagne Grapes

Creator LiamsLunchBox starts the recipe by picking a selection of fresh red and green grapes and washing them thoroughly in a bowl of water.

Next, a bottle of champagne is poured on top of the grapes, ensuring each comes into contact with the sparkling wine.

Finally, roll every grape in caster sugar and invite your NYE guests to add them to their glass of fizz to toast the new year's arrival in style.

New Year's Eve 'Firecrackers'

Creator Mississippi_Kween has shown how to prepare her spicy snap crackers, which she intends to eat while spending New Year's Eve "watching fireworks with the kids."

She begins the NYE dish by emptying an entire box of salted crackers into a large bowl.

Next, in a separate bowl she adds a cup of vegetable oil, 1 tbsp of chilli flakes, and one packet of ranch seasoning mix, which is then all combined vigorously with a whisk.

This is then added to the crackers, before the bowl is covered and shaken well.

After setting aside for approximately an hour, the food blogger adds a light dusting of pepper, before declaring her canapés ready to be served.

Creator Mallory Hudson describes her chocolate-drizzled popcorn recipe as an "easy snack idea for New Year's Eve."

She takes one cup of dark and another of white chocolate chips and melts each separately.

Hudson then drizzles the resulting chocolatey liquid over a baking tray packed with salted popcorn.

Before letting the mixture set, she finally adds a fine dusting of golden edible sprinkles.

The final step involves simply breaking up the popcorn pieces into chunks and serving in a large bowl.

'Lucky' New Year's Eve Fruit Tarts

Creator YouthSweets captioned her TikTok video with the thought "some food can bring you good luck in the new year."

She rolls out shop-bought pastry and cuts it to neatly fit inside both the base and sides of tart cases.

Next, prick the base with a fork, line with baking paper, then blind bake according to the pastry instructions until ready.

Now, finely chop white chocolate "to keep a soggy bottom at bay", before melting and brushing a liberal amount onto the base of each pastry.

An orange, which the cook claims can help bring "fortune, wealth and money" is zested and juiced.

Now combine several tablespoons of runny honey and butter and whisk well, until combined. Then introduce five eggs and continue to combine.

Add the orange juice and zest and heat until the curd thickens to a custard-like consistency and pipe into the pastry bases.

In a different bowl, mix white grape juice and gelatin, then pour into molds and allow to set.

Finally, add the white grape jelly to the top of the tart and lightly scatter pomegranate seeds to create a show-stopping look.

BBQ Meatballs & Weenies

Creator Ashley Campbell reposted her tasty meatball recipe on TikTok in time for New Year's Eve.

She combines a packet of home-style meatballs, another of smoked cocktail sausages, an entire jar of barbecue sauce, and a jar of concentrated grape jelly.

This mixture is then combined well in a slow cooker.

The final instruction for this most simple of NYE recipes is to heat it in a slow cooker on high for four hours, then on low for a further six hours.

Mini Hot Dogs

Chef Koudy believes his mini Cali hot dogs are worthy to be served on New Year's Eve.

He first of all fries sausage and bacon in a pan, until they sizzle invitingly.

Next, he places finely sliced avocado in a hot dog bun, adds a rasher of crispy bacon and then a sausage.

Finally, a red onion, fresh herb and tomato salsa is scattered on top, before the dish is completed with a squirt of burger sauce.

Spinach & Artichoke Dip

Creator Genies_Life describes her dish as "one of the easiest dips to make for any party or game day."

She begins by combining some defrosted frozen spinach, drained artichoke hearts, softened cream cheese, sour cream, shredded Parmesan cheese and mayonnaise into a bowl.

Next, seasonings such as salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika are added, before the entire mixture is properly combined.

The mixture should now be placed into an eight-inch baking dish, where it should be baked for 25 minutes at 375F (190C).

The food blogger suggests her dip can be served with chips, vegetables or Hawaiian bread.

Party Fruit Dip

The Chef at the At_Home_Cook claims her "fluffy, delicious" fruit dip "is so easy to make", making it perfect to take to holiday gatherings.

She combines a stick of softened butter, 8oz of softened whipped cream cheese, half a cup of marshmallow cream and 8oz of softened whipped topping.

This mixture is then combined well using an electric whisk, before adding pineapple juice and fresh lemon juice to taste.

French Meat: 'The Russian Recipe'

TikTok creator ViktoriaCohan describes her intriguing-named recipe as "the best New Year's dish."

She starts by taking two cubed steaks and spreads them on a baking tray, where liberal amounts of salt and black pepper are scattered on top.

A finely shredded white onion is next placed on top, which is then accompanied by freshly fashioned potato sticks.

Shredded mozzarella is then layered on top, followed by several generous spoons of mayonnaise.

The baking tray is then placed in an oven preheated to 350F, where it is to be cooked for one hour, before being served.

Bruschetta Bites

Creator Mallory Hudson suggests this recipe is "perfect for throwing together something at the last minute," as "your friends are going to love it."

Start by slicing some French bread and brushing each slice with olive oil flavored with a touch of seasoning.

Now place in an oven for a minute or two, until each slice is slightly browned.

Next, add a generous spoonful of Burrata soft cheese, then add approximately the same amount of tomato and basil bruschetta paste on top.

Hudson suggests as a final step to add a light drizzle of balsamic vinegar reduction on each slice, which she promises will take her creation "to the next level."
