NYCC 2020 Metaverse Schedule & How to Watch Panels Online

Like many conventions before it, this year's New York Comic Con and MCM London Comic Con will be completely digital.

Both conventions are coming together in what's being dubbed the Metaverse. Reed Pop and the NYCC/MCM organizers will bring the biggest pop culture event of the fall season to your homes starting this Thursday. Watch panels featuring your favorite creators, actors and much more.

If you're hoping to (digitally) attend some of the Metaverse's panels, continue reading for all the pertinent information.

NYCC Metaverse begins Thursday, October 8, at 11 a.m. EDT and ends Sunday, October 11, at 10:30 p.m. EDT.

The complete schedule is on the official Metaverse site. You can search for panels based on categories like gaming, anime, comics, cosplay and so much more. There are even tabs that populate panels based on the date.

Thankfully, the site is very clean and easy to navigate, so it shouldn't be an issue to find what you're interested in.

The best way to watch panels online during the four-day event is by checking out the official New York Comic Con YouTube channel.

There are already placeholder videos for the various panels that will take place starting on Thursday. You can set a reminder to receive an alert when the panel of your choice is about to go live.

There are plenty of panels to get excited for this weekend. Whether you're a fan of anime, comic books, television or cosplay, there's something for you during this year's NYCC Metaverse.

Here are our five panels to look out for this weekend, including what they are about, the time and how to watch.

Star Trek Universe

Trekies will want to check out this virtual panel as the animated series Star Trek: Lower Decks and CBS' Star Trek: Discovery take center stage on Thursday.

The creator of Lower Decks, Mike McMahan, will be joined by the voice cast, including Tawny Newsome, Jack Quaid, Eugene Cordero, Noël Wells, Dawnn Lewis, Jerry O'Connell, Fred Tatasciore and Gillian Vigman, to talk about the season one finale.

If you're excited for Star Trek: Discovery, join Sonequa Martin-Green, Doug Jones, Anthony Rapp, Mary Wiseman and Wilson Cruz; new cast members David Ajala, Blu del Barrio and Ian Alexander; and series co-showrunners and executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Michelle Paradise, for an exclusive conversation about what's in store for the U.S.S. Discovery crew ahead of the season three premiere on Thursday.

Marvel X of Swords

The big X-Men event of the fall begins with "X of Swords," a new story that gives 10 X-Men swords. That's right, powerful mutants using swords.

Join host Angelique Roche and Marvel Editor Jordan D. White, as well as writers Tini Howard, Gerry Duggan, Benjamin Percy and Vita Ayala to learn (almost) everything about this new comic event.

RAW. Then. Now. Forever

If you're a WWE fan, you'll want to check out this special panel as superstars Zelina Vega and WWE Champion Drew McIntyre join Triple H for a special discussion on 30 years of Monday Night RAW.

Learn about some of the more iconic moments of the show from those that were there. And with the WWE Draft beginning Friday night, perhaps we'll learn some new information on who will be joining and leaving Monday Night RAW this year.

Marvel's M.O.D.O.K

Hulu is getting a new Marvel animated series, but this won't star one of the Avengers or the other heroes of the Marvel Universe—it'll star the villainous M.O.D.O.K.

Get an exclusive first look at the upcoming adult animated series, Marvel's M.O.D.O.K., hear from creators Patton Oswalt and Jordan Blum, and meet the cast of characters voiced by Aimee Garcia, Ben Schwartz and Melissa Fumero.

AMC's The Walking Dead

The latest season of AMC's The Walking Dead has already begun, but this panel will feature the newest episode, "A Certain Doom," in which Beta engages in the final battle of the Whisperer War.

Guests have not been confirmed, but you can expect some of the cast and showrunners to appear to talk about the episode.
