New York Fashion Week 2020 Schedule: Full Runway Show Lineup, How to Watch Online and More

Fashionistas from all around the world will invade the Big Apple for the biggest event in fashion: New York Fashion Week (NYFW). The annual event—during which some of the industry's most celebrated designers showcase looks from their 2020 fall/winter collections—begins on Tuesday and will run through February 12.

Although NYFW has been held at studios and event spaces in New York since it was first established by fashion publicist Eleanor Lambert in 1943, the invite-only experience will feature a twist this year. Some designers won't actually be premiering their lines in the concrete jungle but instead will showcase in Los Angeles.

Tom Ford, the Council of Fashion Designers America chairman and one of NYFW's most beloved designers, is pegged to showcase his 2020 fall/winter collection in Los Angeles on Friday, just two days before the annual Academy Awards. Ford's designs are a staple on the red carpet and he is likely providing gowns and tuxes for many members of Hollywood's elite for the Oscars—hence his decision to show in Los Angeles instead of New York this year. Margherita Missoni, whose M Missoni label will kick off NYFW, will also showcase in the City of Angels.

There are a few major players who won't be showing at all during NYFW. Designers such as Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Jeremy Scott, Phillip Lim and Tanya Taylor will skip the event this year. And there are no plans for Rihanna to walk her Savage x Fenty collection down the runway, despite producing one of the most talked-about shows at Barclays Center in Brooklyn in September 2019.

The event isn't typically open to the general public. However, those who do want in on the action can pay for one of the many available NYFW Experiences. Fashion lovers can catch shows like Christian Siriano and Badgley Mischka from the skybox by paying for one of the available Designer Experiences or get VIP service and row seat access to a variety of shows through Day Package Experiences. Pricing starts at $500 for some designer packages, and go as high as $1,999 for an All Access Day Package Experience. For more information, click here.

Those that don't want to break the bank to see their favorite designer collections can watch the shows via live stream for free on NYFW's official website, starting with the first fashion show on Tuesday at 3 p.m. ET.
