New 'Young Justice' Trailer, Episode Release Schedule, 'Enhanced' Edition Revealed

Young Justice: Outsiders takes place a couple years after the events of Season 2 left the team in emotional shambles. And a little over a month away from the Season 3 premiere, fans finally have a little bit better of an idea of how the show looks not only years later, but on DC Universe platform.

This season focuses on an international arms race hinging on teen metahuman trafficking. This would be enough of a challenge on its own, but that's not the Young Justice way. The season is set to introduce Darkseid and the planet of Apokolips too, which will lead our favorite team of heroes on intergalactic adventures.

"We are on in a mission in space!" says Bart Allen, the new Kid Flash (RIP Wally), in the trailer. Elsewhere in the trailer is Wonder Girl, Batman, Metamorpho and Katana. New characters this season include Troy Baker as Geo-Force, Jason Spisak (also Wally West) as Forager, Zehra Fazal as Halo, as well as Arrowette, Thirteen, and Spoiler.

Young Justice: Outsiders will air three episodes at a time every Friday starting on Jan. 4. The mid finale takes place on Jan. 25, and four episodes will release that day. The series will continue for the remaining 13 episodes in June, according to the release schedule infographic from New York Comic Con.

In addition to the new trailer, DC Universe will release "enhanced" episodes from the first two seasons of the series, which aired from 2010 to 2013 on Cartoon Network. The first enhanced episode arrives on Dec. 4, and they will release every Tuesday until Dec. 25. The episodes feature commentary and interviews from stars, producers and superfans. In addition, DC Universe members will have access to a prequel comic book series; two 10-page chapters accompany the series. Written by series producer Greg Weisman with art by Christopher Jones, the prequel will release Jan. 2 and Jan. 3, two days before the new season premieres.

Even more, a "Making of" Young Justice: Outsiders documentary series is set to premier on January 8. The documentary follows Young Justice voice actor Whitney Moore and gives an inside look at Season 3 across five 10-minute episodes.

Young Justice: Outsiders is produced by Brandon Vietti, Greg Weisman, and Sam Register.
