Newsweek College Football Rankings, Heisman and CFP Predictions—Week 11

There were two match-ups of top teams this weekend, and the games did not disappoint. Top-ranked Clemson went on the road Saturday night and lost at No. 4 Notre Dame, 47-40, in double overtime. On Saturday afternoon, No. 11 Florida toppled No. 10 Georgia, 44-28, in Jacksonville.

Alabama was idle, and the Crimson Tide moved up a spot to No. 1 in the latest Newsweek rankings. Notre Dame leaped into the No. 2 spot, Ohio State remained at No. 3 and Clemson fell to fourth.

Texas A&M continues to look impressive, and they moved to No. 5 after its 48-3 win over South Carolina. A&M's only loss this season was at Alabama. Florida, whose only loss was at Texas A&M, moves up to No. 6.

Cincinnati is No. 7 and BYU is No. 8.

Indiana, which beat Michigan for the first time in 33 years, moves into the top 10 at No. 9, and Oregon enters the rankings at No. 10 after the Pac-12 kicked off its season. The Ducks beat Stanford, 35-14.

Liberty enters the Newsweek rankings at No. 20 after a thrilling, 38-35, upset at Virginia Tech on Saturday. The Liberty Flames, which are playing as an independent this season, are 7-0, and they host Western Carolina this weekend.
